Your Toolkit for Inner Transformation

Learn four powerful journaling methods to gather your scattered selves, align with your centre and return to inner wholeness.

Seeker, the call

I. Free Flow Journaling | The Foundational Practice

  • The purpose of the Free Flow Journaling method is to shift from your outer personality, the surface mask, and shift inward to your deeper, truer, inner self.
  • There is a greater wisdom flowing deep within you, Free Flow Journaling is to help you go beyond the surface thoughts and connect to this inner stream. It is a journey inward, to the deeper ranges of yourself.

II. Inner Guide Journaling

  • This practice helps you turn inward to connect with the Inner Guide — the divine presence deep within — and receive clear, intuitive guidance aligned with your soul’s truth.

  • As you deepen this connection, you begin to experience greater clarity, trust, and direction in your life — allowing inspiration to lead to aligned action and inner transformation.

Seeker, the call

III. Inner Child Journaling

  • This practice helps you gently reconnect with your emotional self — the inner child — and give safe, loving space to feelings that were suppressed or unheard.

  • By allowing these emotions to surface without judgment, you begin to release old wounds, restore emotional flow, and cultivate deeper clarity, softness, and self-integration.

IV. Conflict Healing Journaling

  • This practice helps you bring awareness to inner conflicts you carry in relation to others, and shift the way you hold them within — not by changing the other person, but by transforming your inner relationship with them.

  • Through reflection and perspective-taking, you release fixed judgments, cultivate empathy and compassion, and create a more peaceful, spacious inner environment where harmony can begin to ripple outward.

Tools to Find Inner Clarity & Wholeness

Access deeper inner wisdom through four structured practices of Yogic journaling.

Through yogic writing, you slow down, listen inwardly, and build a sustainable practice for inner growth & healing — one that can be continued lifelong.

Doodling & Yogic Journaling

A Powerful Non-Verbal Companion For Inner Discovery

Seeker, the call

Doodling isn’t about "art"; it’s about accessing and expressing feelings that words alone cannot reach. It is a practice open to everyone, requiring no prior training or talent.

  • A Gateway to the Inner World: When practised with awareness, doodling becomes a bridge to your subconscious.
  • Beyond Words: This practice supports you when language feels limited. It quiets the restless mind, releases emotional blockages, and invites a state of “flow” through simple lines and colours.
  • Expert Guidance: Doodling live sessions are facilitated by Nimisha Sharma, who specialises in this method under the guidance of Purnam’s founders Divyanshi Chugh and Manoj Pavithran.

Real Stories. Real Shifts.

Reflections from those who found an anchor in the simple act of writing

“Yogic Journaling is the most powerful tool I have come in touch with to connect and communicate with my deeper self. I experienced unexpected and intense healing through many journaling sessions.

It is my go-to practice to seek guidance in any situation, especially when I need guidance to make decisions that align with my deeper self.”

Sanjana

The collective journaling practice has provided a sacred space and time for me to take time out for myself to get in touch with my inner child as well as my higher self while I reflect upon my everyday feelings, emotions & thoughts consciously.

Journaling is the most powerful tool I have encountered for my spiritual growth. It works like magic.”

Chaitanya

“Over the past year, journaling has quietly become my sacred space — a mirror of my inner being. Through these writings, I have faced confusions, found clarity, and expressed gratitude. It has helped me stay anchored during emotional turbulence and opened the door to deeper self-awareness and a living connection with the Mother. At times, I feel a pure, sacred essence flowing through me.

This practice has not been merely about writing thoughts — it has been about listening. Listening to the voice within, to the silences between the words, and to the subtle guidance that gently arrives when I pause with trust and openness.

Gratitude to Manoj Sir. Without your continuous guidance, none of this would have been possible for me.”

Saswati

“For me, it is a space of deeper, authentic connection with my inner self. As I move more deeply into my relation with the people and the world, deeper values are beginning to emerge as a foundation.

Following and embodying these values is still a struggle, but it is a sincere effort — a journey of living and aligning more and more with these deeper, authentic, pure values.

With love and gratitude to the Purnam community.”

Meet Your Facilitators

From the Purnam Team

Manoj Pavithran

Lead Facilitator

Manoj Pavithran has been an Integral Yoga practitioner and educator since 1989 and joined Auroville in 1995. As a co-founder of Purnam, he has led numerous courses focused on integrating spiritual growth with professional and personal development. He has also authored Pilgrims of the Infinite and produced the Evolution Fast-forward film series.

For several decades, journaling has been a core personal practice for Manoj. He has used it as a tool for inner healing, clarity, and building a steady connection with the inner guide.

Through lived experience, he has developed and refined this practice as Yogic Journaling—not merely for expression or reflection, but as a form of sadhana. It is a way of turning inward, listening more deeply, and gradually aligning one’s thoughts, actions, and inner movements with the deeper truth of the soul and the Divine presence within. The practice is simple and accessible, yet capable of supporting a profound inner journey over time.

Nimisha Sharma

Co-Facilitator

Nimisha Sharma is a Company Secretary, certified soft-skills trainer, and emotional awareness facilitator. Alongside her professional background, journaling has been a core personal practice for over a decade—helping her process emotions, reflect deeply, and gain inner clarity.

During phases when emotions felt intense and difficult to express through words alone, mindful doodling emerged as a natural support. Entering a quiet flow through spontaneous drawing helped calm the mind and allowed emotions to release gently and non-verbally.

For the past two years, Nimisha has been practising Yogic Journaling under the guidance of Manoj Pavithran and Divyanshi Chugh as part of her Karmayoga Fellowship journey with Purnam. Today, she brings together journaling and mindful doodling as complementary practices that support emotional integration, self-trust, and deeper inner clarity.

The Purpose of Writing

The use of your writing is to keep you in touch with the inner source of inspiration and intuition, so as to wear thin the crude external crust in the consciousness and encourage the growth of the inner being.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve never journaled before. Is this suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! No prior experience is required. The practices are guided step by step, allowing beginners to enter gently while still offering depth for those who have been journaling previously.

What if I miss any of the sessions? Will I get the recording?

All session recordings will be available on the course platform for your reference. However, it is critical that you commit to attending all the live sessions during the cohort as these lay the foundation for the entire journey step-by-step.

In case of emergencies, it is understandable to miss a session or two, but otherwise, your live participation during the cohort is central to the whole journey.

Who will be facilitating the live sessions?

The live Yogic Journaling sessions are facilitated by Manoj Pavithran, who guides the core journaling practice.

Each journaling session is then supported by a doodling session facilitated by Nimisha Sharma.

What materials do I need to keep handy during the course?

We recommend having:

  • A new notebook, preferably kept only for this practice, to serve as your journal
  • A pen

  • A few colours (crayons, colour pencils, or sketch pens) for the doodling practice

It’s also recommended to join from a quiet space where you can sit undisturbed, with a stable internet connection, so you can stay present and engaged throughout the session.
