There is a wisdom within that sees more clearly than the restless mind, knows more deeply than our habitual reactions, and can guide us towards a life of greater clarity, purpose and harmony.
Dhyana is a year-long journey that cultivates the inner conditions through which this deeper wisdom can emerge in our lives through three yogic practices:
Concentration • Anahata Meditation • Yogic Journaling
Together, these practices help gather the attention, quiet the mind and deepen our capacity to listen within.
Lifelong access to course materials & practice sessions. Rejoin future cohorts.
Apply by 12th July
No prior knowledge of meditation or yoga required.
Only sincerity and an openness to explore.

How the Dhyāna Journey Unfolds
PRACTICE Journey I
Jul 17 - Aug 7 · 4 weeks
Yogic Concentration
The Power of Gathered Energy
A scattered mind, incapable of steady focus, is a great obstacle to achieving anything in life, material or spiritual. Yogic Concentration is the science of gathering all your scattered attention and energy into a single, unwavering focus. Like building a muscle, this can be developed systematically — and once gathered, this capacity makes every other practice easier.
This steady focus is the primary skill to progress on the path. It opens the doors of spontaneous inner knowledge and brings greater energy to all you do. As your goal becomes increasingly clear, the path itself begins to feel joyful.
Training unfolds stage by stage over 4 weeks.

PRACTICE Journey II
Aug 21 - Oct 9 · 8 weeks
Yogic Journaling
Word as a Vehicle for Inner Discovery and Transformation
Developed by Manoj Pavithran as part of his own sadhana, this journey offers deep inner work through four unique journaling methods that help you shift from mental and emotional confusion to quiet inner clarity. The four methods are:
- Free Flow Journaling
- Inner Guide Journaling
- Inner Child Journaling
- Conflict Healing Journaling
These methods help you move beyond the outer surface being to access your inner being, by clearing the habitual pathways of the mind. They help you heal emotional wounds, receive inner guidance, open to intuition and greater creative flow, and progressively integrate all parts of your being around the soul.
All four methods of journaling are complemented by a non-verbal doodling method to enhance inner access.
Practice unfolds stage by stage over 8 weeks.

PRACTICE Journey III

Anahata Meditation
Establish Inner Peace, The Ground for a Greater Consciousness
Anahata is an advanced 7-stage meditation process developed by Manoj Pavithran as part of his own sadhana, based on the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo. It effortlessly establishes an inner stillness, wideness and silence in which a profound peace settles within.
This lays the ground for accessing the inner flame of the soul's aspiration and ascending upward, opening to a greater consciousness above.
Sustained practice makes it possible for this greater consciousness to progressively come down into the mind, vital and physical parts of our being, transforming them.
Training unfolds stage by stage over 9 weeks.

Journey Guides
Meet Your Facilitators
Manoj Pavithran
Mentor & Lead Facilitator
For over three decades, Manoj Pavithran has been a practitioner of Sri Aurobindo’s Integral Yoga in Auroville. The practices shared in Dhyana — Yogic Concentration, Anahata Meditation and Yogic Journaling — have been developed and refined through years of personal practice, reflection and experimentation in the light of Sri Aurobindo’s teachings.
Many of these practices emerged through Manoj’s sustained meditation in the Matrimandir, the spiritual centre of Auroville, and his search for practical ways of bringing the deeper truths of yoga into the realities of everyday life. Over time, they evolved into a coherent path of Concentration, Anahata Meditation and Yogic Journaling.
What Manoj shares in Dhyana is not merely a set of techniques, but practices that have accompanied him throughout his own inner journey as an educator, filmmaker, author and guide. They continue to form an integral part of his daily sadhana and are offered as living disciplines for those seeking a deeper, more conscious way of living.
Nimisha Sharma
Co-Facilitator
Nimisha Sharma is a Company Secretary, certified soft-skills trainer, and emotional awareness facilitator. Alongside her professional background, journaling has been a core personal practice for over a decade—helping her process emotions, reflect deeply, and gain inner clarity.
During phases when emotions felt intense and difficult to express through words alone, mindful doodling emerged as a natural support. Entering a quiet flow through spontaneous drawing helped calm the mind and allowed emotions to release gently and non-verbally.
For the past two years, Nimisha has been practising Yogic Journaling under the guidance of Manoj Pavithran and Divyanshi Chugh as part of her Karmayoga Fellowship journey with Purnam. Today, she brings together journaling and mindful doodling as complementary practices that support emotional integration, self-trust, and deeper inner clarity.
Nimisha will be co-facilitating the Yogic Journaling journey as part of Dhyāna.

Real Stories. Real Shifts
Your blossoming in Purnam's Learning Garden
Where Dhyāna Sits in the Larger Path
Dhyaya is one of three pathways within Abhyasa, the third stage of the Purnam journey. The other two paths are Sraddha (faith and devotion through art, prayer, and chanting) and Swadhyaya (self-study through spiritual works). Together, the three pathways form Sadhana — Purnam's deepest membership, designed for those who are ready to make practice the living centre of their life.
When you join Sadhana as a complete membership, you receive access to Swadhyaya, Shraddha, and Dhyana — along with 12 self-paced courses, monthly sharing circles, and the Parts of Being Profiler. Entering through the complete journey offers the three pathways together at nearly half the fee of joining them individually.
If you feel drawn to take up this deeper journey of Sadhana or wish to explore which pathway could be right for you, book a conversation with our coach.
