Swadhyaya

The Path of Integral Knowledge

There is a thirst in you that information cannot satisfy.
A longing to understand who you are, what this life is, and where it is going.

Swadhyaya is a yearlong journey through the living wisdom of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Through mantric reading and inner practices, you learn to receive the force behind spiritual texts and apply them in life.

A deeper self-awareness emerges. Soul qualities begin to awaken. Something truer begins to take the lead in your life.

Registrations closing on May 17th.

No prior knowledge of Sri Aurobindo or philosophy is needed.
Only sincerity and an openness to explore.

This Path Is For You If…

For any sincere seeker who carries a genuine longing to understand

Path of Knowledge Reading

You have read spiritual books but want to actually live and practice the teachings, not just acquire more knowledge.

You long for clarity about your own inner nature and the larger picture of existence

You are drawn to Sri Aurobindo and The Mother’s vision but don’t know how to enter it.

You feel the pull of the inner life but have been walking it largely alone, without a community or structure to support it.

Swadhyaya does not require prior knowledge of yoga or philosophy. It is an entry-level journey that asks only 4 to 5 hours of sincere engagement per week.

Why Sri Aurobindo?

A Vision that Integrates the Material and the Spiritual

Sri Aurobindo

Sri Aurobindo — revolutionary, rishi, and one of the great spiritual visionaries of the 20th century — foresaw humanity’s evolutionary crisis over a century ago. He saw that evolution is not finished with the human being: that a deeper, divine consciousness is pressing to emerge on Earth.

He brought together the truths of all yogic traditions and re-envisioned them for the modern world, showing that spiritual life need not withdraw from the world but can transform it from within.

His vision offers a way to integrate the spiritual and the material, the inner and the outer, and to consciously participate in the evolutionary journey each of us is called to.

His words are not ordinary words. They carry the light of a profound consciousness. When you enter them with sincerity, they enter you.

Applications open throughout the year.

Trimester I

Heart Lotus

Jun 10 – Sep 2 ·  12 weeks

Foundations in Integral Studies

Know yourself deeply. Find the key to change.

You choose a theme that calls to you — grace, peace, aspiration, surrender, sincerity — and explore it through a process called first-person inquiry: bringing the words of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother into direct conversation with your own lived experience

Through yogic self-observation and simple practices, these teachings begin to take root in your daily life.

Receive a deep grounding in Integral Yoga Psychology — understanding your inner parts, what moves them, what binds them, and where your deeper freedom lies.

LIVE SESSIONS

Sharing Circles Wed 8 – 10 PM IST
Mantric Reading Fri 8 – 9 AM IST

Trimester II

Sep 30 – Nov 11 ·  7 weeks

Cultivating Soul Qualities

The essential inner qualities that open you to the Divine.

The Mother’s symbol has twelve petals — and each petal is a living quality of the soul: Sincerity, Humility, Gratitude, Courage, Peace, and seven more. These are not virtues to be admired from a distance. They are inner capacities to be grown .

Each cohort concentrates on one quality together — over many weeks, not just once. Through Mantric Reading, Sharing Circles, and weekly journaling with The Mother and Sri Aurobindo’s own words, the quality stops being a concept.

Through collective aspiration and sustained practice, you begin to recognise it in yourself, notice where it’s absent, and find it quietly growing & percolating into different parts of your life.

The upcoming cohort concentrates on Humility.

LIVE SESSIONS

Sharing Circles Wed 8 – 10 PM IST
Mantric Reading Tue & Fri 8 – 9 AM IST

Trimester III

The Synthesis of Yoga

Dec 9 – Mar 3 ·  12 weeks

The Synthesis of Yoga

Enter a consciousness that holds and orients your entire spiritual journey.

Sri Aurobindo’s most comprehensive spiritual work draws together the full wealth of India’s yogic traditions and re-synthesises them into Integral Yoga: a path for transforming human nature through the power of the Divine Shakti.

In this trimester, you enter its opening five chapters. You will discover yoga not as postures or techniques, but as a living force that can transform how you move through everyday life. Life shifts from being a series of problems to solve to an intelligent unfolding shaped by a deeper Presence.

And you will find a clear map of the yogic paths —how they come together into one integral way of living where your spiritual life and your everyday life are no longer separate.

You do not study these chapters. You enter them, line by line, word by word, together through mantric reading.

How the Journey Works

Three Methods

Where reading becomes practice & practice brings transformation

With a silent, receptive mind, the words begin to work within us. Their vibration purifies, widens, and uplifts our being, connecting us to a Presence that is always there…  guiding, revealing, transforming.

I

Mantric Reading

Mantric reading

Mantric Reading is the art of reading with a silent, receptive mind.

It is not about grasping meaning, but about receiving the living force behind the words.

Sri Aurobindo's writings carry a consciousness. When you read in this way, that consciousness enters you, quietly clarifying, widening, and transforming your being from within.

II

First-person Inquiry

First-person inquiry

First-person inquiry turns your inner life into a living laboratory.

You learn to step back from your thoughts, feelings, and impulses, observing them without reacting or adding stories.

This small inner distance brings clarity. From that clarity, something begins to shift, not because you forced it, but because you truly saw it.

III

Collective Journey

Sharing circle

What you have read and reflected upon meets the living experience of others.

As you share what is stirring within you, and listen to how the same teachings land for someone else, your understanding deepens in ways solitary study cannot offer. Insight becomes integration.

There is also something that happens in the collective: a shared aspiration that intensifies the field, accelerating a progress none of us could arrive at alone.

Testimonials

Real Stories. Real Shifts

A Journey that Has Quietly Transformed Many Lives

Most Profound Journey

Swadhyaya has been the most cherished part of my fellowship journey.

To begin with, the very idea of taking a single word (Grace, in my case) and going deeply into it was both new and revealing for me. It was beautiful to see how this one word appears and takes form across different works of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, each time opening a deeper layer of understanding

Studying the quality Sincerity lead me to discover how sincerity itself can be a path in itself🌻

And now, The Synthesis of Yoga feels like I have installed a software update in my system 🙂 ..not just fixing a few bugs, but upgrading the entire operating system – how I process things, how I see the world, and how I see myself. I had tried reading this book earlier and found it too complex from the very first page. But this mantric reading circle somehow made me receptive ..makes me wonder why I could not understand it before! The beauty of it when you relish it line by line or infact word by word!

Swadhyaya sessions truly make these profound works more living, and transformative. Ever grateful to Sahana and Pooja for holding this journey with such gentleness, grace and wisdom 🪷❤️

Not Just a Course — A Living Journey

Swadhyaya for me has been a journey of deeper self-knowing and transformation. Initially it was difficult to understand the words but reading consistently gradually helped to develop the capacity to also understand a little.

The width and the depth in which Sri Aurobindo and Mother have gone for each topic has been very helpful to know everything from head to toe.

Taking little practices to embody a certain quality from the readings in my daily life also helped to internalise and embody them. Slowly the qualities of faith and love started emerging for me and a deeper connection with the divinity in me and all around me.

Clarity That Made Everything Click

Through the Swadhyaya circles, I have discovered new depth in reading the works of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.

The Mantric Readings of The Synthesis of Yoga and the sharing circles, in particular, have brought me great clarity about community, individuality, and my own parts of by in our evolutionary journey.

This understanding has helped me witness others’ responses with greater empathy.

I now find it easier to work with the community, as there is more openness in me to see people without judgment and to engage with them from a place of awareness and respect.

Nabonita

I finally understand what’s happening in my life

“It’s hard to put into words what this experience meant, but it answered so many questions and gave me a kind of map — not a fixed roadmap, but a living sense of the terrain.

Indian spirituality can be confusing — there are so many books, teachers, and paths that often seem both similar and contradictory. It can feel overwhelming.

But the way Sri Aurobindo explains everything — the different parts of being, the various yogas, the stages of life — and gives each its rightful place, helped me understand what’s truly going on: both in the grandest scale and within my own life.

It helped me see where I am in my journey, where to move next, and how to look at everything without judgment — knowing that each experience has its place and time.

It’s been a deeply beautiful learning journey — one of the most impactful and luminous works of consciousness I’ve ever encountered.
