Prayers and Meditations

Guided by Divyanshi Chugh · Purnam, Auroville

Enter into living contact with the Divine

We read from the Mother’s Prayers and Meditations—her spiritual diary full of intense love for the Divine—and allow each word to enter within as we contemplate and paint meditatively.

  • Live cohort every year from June to March — with rolling admissions, join anytime.
  • April to May cohort break for integration and reflection.

A sacred and powerful process

How the sessions work

A meditative space to listen deeply, contemplate the Mother’s spiritual diary, and express the inner touch through spontaneous colour and organ music.

Connecting to the deeper heart Step 1

Connecting to the Deeper Heart

We begin by chanting the sacred mantra of the Divine Mother, “Om Anandamayi, Chaitanyamayi, Satyamayi Parame”, allowing the chant to ground us and help us fully arrive in the sacred space.

Then, through a gentle meditative visualization, guided by Divyanshi’s voice, we enter a deep state of concentration—entering the most sacred part of our being, our deeper heart.

Reading and meditating on a prayer Step 2

Reading and Meditating on a Prayer

We read, with deep concentration, one prayer from the Mother’s Prayers & Meditations, and then enter a guided meditative visualization led by Divyanshi to contemplate its essence.

As we meditate, we allow ourselves to fully bask in the force of the prayer by connecting to the deeper meaning and a secret message.

Painting with Mother’s organ music Step 3

Painting with Mother’s Organ Music

We write the lines from the prayer that touches each one of us uniquely, in our journal and paint the imagery that naturally arises from within using watercolours on paper.

One need not be an artist to paint; it’s a simple process of feeling the essence of the prayer in the deeper heart and flowing with the colours that call.

The Mother’s organ music helps us connect with the lines on a deeper level, allowing the sacred experience to take a tangible shape and form on paper.

Voices from the journey

Archana
“Prayers and Meditations journey was a very sweet and blissful experience. It was held very beautifully, after each prayer we were led to a practice. Many of which I try to practice even today like journalling, inspired art etc.”

“My connection with the Mother was made stronger through these practices. The power of prayer and practice would linger over the whole day giving a lot of joy.”

Words of the Mother

A prayer of surrender

“O my beloved Lord, my heart is bowed before Thee, my arms are stretched towards Thee imploring Thee to set all this being on fire with Thy sublime love that it may radiate from there on the world. My heart is wide open in my breast; my heart is open and turned towards Thee, it is open and empty that Thou mayst fill it with Thy divine Love; it is empty of all but Thee and Thy presence fills it through and through and yet leaves it empty, for it can contain also all the infinite variety of the manifested world….

O Lord, my arms are outstretched in supplication towards Thee, my heart is wide open before Thee, that Thou mayst make of it a reservoir of Thy infinite love.

‘Love me in all things, everywhere and in all beings’ was Thy reply. I prostrate myself before Thee and ask of Thee to give me that power.”

— Prayer from December 27, 1916
